Life and career[]

Born in Havana in 1989, Romero got his start in the majors in Season 5 with the New Orleans Outlaws. In two seasons there, he had a 26-29 record and a 2.92 ERA, but was traded after Season 6 to the Richmond Redbirds. His first season with Richmond was arguably one of his best; he had a 22-9 record with a 2.52 ERA and a WHIP of 0.99.

Romero has spent the last four seasons with Worcester as the ace of their rotation. He was also a big reason why the Dirt Dogs won the USBL championship in Season 11; he went 22-8 with a 2.36 ERA and a 0.92 WHIP, the latter of which led the league. His five-pitch arsenal features a mid-90s four-seam fastball, as well as a two-seam, curveball, slider, and changeup.
